A winters day à冬天的一天

In a deep and dark December; 在深和暗月;

I am alone, 我独自一人，

Gazing from my window to the streets below 从我的窗前凝视着下面的街道

On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow. 在雪刚下的沉默寿衣。

   

I am a rock, 我是一块石头，

I am an island. 我是一个岛屿。

   

I've built walls, 我已经建立了墙壁，

A fortress deep and mighty, 堡垒深威猛，

That none may penetrate. 这可能没有穿透。

I have no need of friendship; friendship causes pain. 我不需要的友谊;友谊引起疼痛。

It's laughter and it's loving I disdain. 它的笑声和它的爱我不屑。

   

I am a rock, 我是一块石头，

I am an island. 我是一个岛屿。

   

Don't talk of love, 不说话的爱情，

But I've heard the words before; 但我以前听见的话，

It's sleeping in my memory. 它睡在我的记忆中。

I won't disturb the slumber of feelings that have died. 我不会打扰那些死去的感情的沉睡。

If I never loved I never would have cried. 如果我从来没有爱过我永远不会哭了。

   

I am a rock, 我是一块石头，

I am an island. 我是一个岛屿。

   

I have my books 我有我的书

And my poetry to protect me; 而我的诗来保护我;

I am shielded in my armor, 我是在保护我的盔甲，

Hiding in my room, safe within my womb. 躲在我的房间，我的子宫内的安全。

I touch no one and no one touches me. 我接触任何人，没有人触动了我。

   

I am a rock, 我是一块石头，

I am an island. 我是一个岛屿。

   

And a rock feels no pain; 和摇滚感觉不到疼痛;

And an island never cries. 和一个岛屿从来不哭。
