(Joy to the world, the Lord is come) （欢乐世界，主是来）

Here was a man, a man 这里是一个男人，一个男人

Who was born in a small village 谁是出生在一个小村庄

The son of a peasant woman 一个农妇的儿子

He grew up in another small village 他在另外一个小村庄长大

Until he reached the age of thirty 直到他年满30岁

He worked as a carpenter 他一直是个木工

   

Then for three years 然后三年

He was a traveling minister 他是一个旅游部长

But he never traveled more 但他从来没有走过多

Than two hundred miles from 两百英里

Where he was born and 他在那里出生并

Where he did go he usually walked 在那里，他没去他平时走路

   

He never held political office 他从来没有担任政治职务

He never wrote a book 他从来没有写过一本书

Never bought a home 从来没有买过一个家

Never had a family 从未有过一个家庭

He never went to college 他没上过大学

And he never set foot inside a big city 他从来没有踏足内的大城市

   

Yes, here was a man 是的，这里是一个人

   

Though he never did one on the things 虽然他从来没有一个在东西

Usually associated with greatness 通常与相关的伟大之处

He had no credentials but himself 他没有凭据，但他自己

He had nothing to do with this world 他无关，与这个世界

Except through the divine purpose 除了通过神的目的

That brought him to this world 这给他带来了这个世界

   

While he was still a young man 当他还是一个小伙子

The tide of popular opinion turned against him 民意的潮流倒戈

Most of his friends ran away 他的大部分朋友跑了

One of them denied him 其中一人否认他

One of them betrayed him 其中一人出卖了他

And turned him over to his enemies 并把他交给他的敌人

Then he went through the mockery of a trial 然后，他经历了审判的嘲弄

   

And was nailed to a cross between two thieves 而被钉在两个贼之间的交叉

And even while he was dying 甚至当他快死了

His executioners gambled 他的刽子手赌博

For the only piece of property 对于唯一的一块地产

That he had in this world 那他在这个世界上

And that was his robe his purple robe 那是他的长袍他紫袍

   

When he was dead 当他死了

He was taken down from the cross 他被带到从十字架上下来

And laid in a borrowed grave 并奠定了在借来的坟墓

More than nineteen centuries have come and gone 超过19世纪的来来去去

And today he's a centerpiece of the human race 今天他是人类一项核心

Our leader in the column to human destiny 我们的在列向人类命运领袖

   

I think, I'm well within the mark when I say 我想，我还有当我说的标志内

That all of the armies that ever marched 这一切永远前进的军队

All of the navies that ever sailed the seas 所有曾经远渡重洋海军的

All of the legislative bodies that ever sat 所有曾经坐在立法机构

And all of the kings that ever reigned 和所有的国王是有史以来在位

All of them put together have not affected 所有这些放在一起并没有影响

The life of man on this earth 人类在地球上的生活

So powerfully as that one solitary life 如此强大的一个孤独的生活
