During 2002 to 2006, after the creek engineering project has been put in place for several years, the whole landscape structure starts to become in ordered. Proven by the bird research data, higher sample are mostly scatter along the river side. Therefore, the creek engineer is able to stabilize our environment, and the big patch is increasing because of the plan of patch, as a result, the variety of birds in the testing area increases by a significant number.

於1980 ~ 2002年间，在人为大力开发加上天然风灾肆虐下，整体块区之数量渐增且形状有呈现破碎化之现象，而各类别块区之分布逐渐分散，且镶嵌度亦有下降之情形。2002 ~ 2006年，经逐年之野溪工程整治，整体景观结构有朝向规整化的情形，且以鸟类调查资料验证，丰度较高之样点大多沿著溪流分布，故可得知，野溪工程之施作对环境有稳定之功能，且因块区之规整使大块区数量增加，亦使研究试区之鸟类生态丰富度增加。
