There are three basic types of reconstruction rings:(1) those fixed only to the ilium with superior plate extensions and screws, such as the Muller ring,(2) those fixed to the ilium with plates and inferiorly placed hooks, such as the Ganz and GAP rings ( Fig. 7-43 ), and (3) those with superior and inferior plate extensions fixed with screws that pass into both the ilium and the ischium, typified by the Burch-Schneider antiprotrusio cage Fig.

Results:When unilateral anterior superior iliac spine loaded by transient stress,0-10 ms,stress distributed from posterior superior iliac spine to anterior superior iliac spine,and on the last 10 ms,there were greater stress distribution around cacroiliac joint,acetabulum and pubic branch.When unilateral positive backside of ilium loaded,between 0 ms and 20 ms,stress transmitted along vertical direction of ilium,and after 20 ms,there were greater stress distribution on cacroiliac joint,both pubic branch,ischium branch and acetabulum.

We cut the bone from A line to Chiotic line for observing the morphologic characteristics of posterior iliac column, iliac tuberosity, greater sciatic notch, as well the length and height of PCI.

RESULTS AND CONCLUSLON: A total of 2 of 6 autogenous bone grafting cases suffered from graft bone dislocation, 1 suffered from pseudoarthrosis formation, and 1 suffered from donated ilium. Six of 21 autogenous bone graft with cervical plate-screw fixation suffered from loss of intervertebral height, and 3 suffered from pain of donated ilium.

Some bone trabeculae showed medullary cavity formation. In the control sides, the grafts were fused with tibias at 4 weeks. Some iliac crest bones degraded gradually, but the bone trabeculae of grafts also could be seen in the medullary cavity after 60 weeks.
