饱学之士

Man of practice just knows something enigmatical. If you do not observe his deed and talk, it is difficult to know that he is a bookman.

他只是懂些东西，有点令人莫测高深，若不仔细观察他的言谈举止，你很难看得出他是不是饱学之士。

It was indeed effective in the old world. But in the new coming one, it seems to be dropped far behind, because today, the knowledge a primary school student has could be more than that a bookman reading Latin and holding a goose quill had in the past.

这套办法在旧世界中的确有效，但在新世界到来的今天，这套办法似乎已经显得落后，因为今天一个小学生可以掌握的知识远比一位当年读着拉丁文、拿着鹅毛笔的饱学之士的学问还要多。
