There were 39 cases of cerical spondylotic myelopathy, 11 cases of ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament, 7 cases of interertebral disc herniation, and 5 cases of cerical spondylotic amyotrophy.

From January 2005 to August 2006, 83 cases of CSM who underwent surgery in Tianjin Hospital were enrolled. Among which, there were 48 male and 35 female. The average age was 52 years old (ranging from 35 to 65). 65 cases operated anteriorly and 18 cases posteriorly.

选择2005年1月至2006年8月在我院脊柱外科手术治疗的脊髓型颈椎病患者83例，男48例、女35例；年龄35~65岁，平均52岁；前路减压手术65例，后路减压手术18例。

METHODS: 240 cases suffering CSA were selected and divided into groups according to anatomy angle of lesion parts (upper cervical segments, lower cervical segments, mixed type) and traction mode, angel (anteversion sitting position 1°-10°, 11°-20°, 21°-30° groups, posterior extension sitting position 1°-10°, 11°-20°, 21°-30° groups, neutral position sitting position group). Local massage served as control group.

选择椎动脉型颈椎病患者240例，根据解剖学角度按病变部位(上颈段病变、下颈段病变、混合型)和牵引方式、角度(坐位前倾分1°~10°、11°~20°、21°~30°组，坐位后伸1°~10°、11°~20°、21°~30°组，坐位中立位组)分组，以局部按摩为对照组。

Methods. A 60-year-old man with athetoid cerebral palsy and a history of posterior occipitocerical fusion presented with quadriparesis. Salage surgery for cerical myelopathy and pseudarthrosis was performed with laminectomy and rearthrodesis using the pedicle screw system.
