In an effort to develop a simple method for identifying patients who may have fatty liver disease, Dr. Bedogni and colleagues used data from the Dionysos Nutrition and Liver Study to determine the degree to which drinking habits, anthropometry, and metabolic parameters contribute to the risk for the condition in 216 patients with suspected liver disease but no hepatitis B and C infection as well as in 280 age- and sex-matched controls. All participants were from the same town in northern Italy. The presence of fatty liver disease was confirmed via ultrasonography. Results were presented here by Vittorio di Maso, MD, another researcher at the Liver Research Center, at the 41st annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of the Liver.

为了发展出一个简单的方法於鉴定脂肪肝疾病病患，Bedogni 医师及其同僚使用迪奥尼修斯营养与肝脏研究的数据，对280位年龄与性别相符者之中的216位疑似有肝脏疾病但无B型或C型肝炎的病患，加以区别饮酒习惯、人体测量学、导致风险的代谢参数等，所有参与实验者都是来自义大利北部的一个城镇，藉由超音波扫瞄确定出现脂肪肝疾病；研究结果在欧洲肝脏研究学会第41届年会由前述肝脏研究中心的另一位研究员、Vittorio di Maso 医师发表。

The pathological diagnosis should include:(1) the electromyographic recording and ultrasound imaging of local twitch responses,(2) the EMG recording of spontaneous electrical activity at multiple active loci in the MTrP, and (3) the biopsies of MTrP that show contraction knots and giant round muscle fibers.

Methods and Materials:Sixteen healthy young college students without requiring medical service for lower limb due to injury in past 6 months accept 8 weeks plyometric exercise training. Using nerve conduction velocity test, surface electromyography, isometric dynamometer, electrogoniometer and ultrasonography to detect the change of (1)muscle activation level.(2)number of α-motorneuron.(3)nerve conduction velocity. And the mechanical properties of muscle-tendon complex are including (1)fascicle length.(2)fascicle angle.(3)fascicle curvature in muscle(4)muscle composition and (1)stiffness (2)hysterisis in tendon and electromechanical delay are also analysis.

材料与方法：16位下肢在六个月内没有因为受伤而接受任何医疗协助的，接受8周增强式训练前后，接受使用神经传导检查，表面肌电图，等长肌力测力仪，电子量角器以及高频影像超音波等工具之量测，以了解肌肉活性改变包括(1)肌肉适应情形(2)神经元的改变(3)神经传导速率的变化以及肌肉肌腱复合体的机械特性，包括肌肉(1)肌束长度(2)肌束与深层腱鞘的角度(3)肌束弯曲度(4)肌肉组成，以及肌腱腱鞘复合体的(1)刚性与(2)迟滞现象以及机电传导延迟时间。

Seven patients aged 4 to 19 years, with myelomeningocele and high-pressure or poorly compliant bladders, were identified as candidates for cystoplasty. Each patient underwent bladder biopsy, and urothelial and muscle cells were grown in culture and seeded on a biodegradable bladder-shaped scaffold made of collagen, or on a composite of collagen and polyglycolic acid. About 7 weeks later, the autologous engineered bladder constructs were used for reconstruction, and implanted either with or without an omental wrap. After implantation, patients underwent serial urodynamics, cystograms, ultrasounds, bladder biopsies, and serum analyses.

The computer-aided B+M-mode ultrasonography was used to assess their tongue movements. Duration, magnitude and speed of tongue movements in different swallowing phase were measured from 112 healthy adult volunteers and compared with their dentofacial morphology using a simple correlation analysis.

Bone strength, determined using quantitative ultrasound measurement of bone speed of sound at the middle left tibial shaft, decreased significantly in the control group from 2,892 30 m/sec at baseline to 2,799 26 m/sec at four weeks. However, bone SOS of the exercise group remained stable (2,825 32 m/sec at baseline and 2,827 26 m/sec at four weeks). Despite improvement in bone SOS with exercise, there were no accompanying changes in markers of bone formation and resorption.
