Later by chance he was exposed to the more alternative world of music including John Zorn, Tom Waits as well as the disbanded local group The Box, that opened up his ear to a greater music language. For the last 10 years he had been more inclined in exploring sound for media such as theatres and video art until early 2003, with the help of a friend, he released his first solo CD "Stuck in Traffic" and since then he became more focused on making songs and music that he could "play on stage".

在1993 年，曾创作及演出首个个人音乐会"热壼仔音乐故事"，作为当年艺穗节节目之一；于95年，曾与本地作家小西及朗天合作，创作"给阿米巴节信"——一个结合舞台，音乐及动作之剧场；在97年，曾与另一本地音乐人潘德恕合作，举行多媒体音乐舞蹈剧场"极乐世界一九九七"，并邀请日本编舞者松岛诚进行创作，曾亦於此演出中同时以乐手及演员身份出现，於年末，其音乐部份亦以 CD 形式公开发行。98年初曾再度参与艺穗节，并进行其第二个个人音乐创作剧"卵石屋之歌"，并请来本地录影人卢燕珊负责视像及服装设计；由'00年至'02年间，曾亦3度被澳门石头公社邀请，参与当地之街头文化活动。

他凭借着非凡的天赋创作出了《蓝色狂想曲》、交响诗《一个美国人在巴黎》、歌剧《波吉与佩斯》、《古巴序曲》、《F大调钢琴协奏曲》等大量音乐会作品，打破了美国民间音乐难登大雅之堂的禁律，把爵士音乐的艺术表现力提高到新的水平，并把爵士音乐这种通俗音乐形式与交响乐完美地结合在一起。

Ming-Ling M U, who has learned the piano from her auntie Li-Fen MU when she was 4 years old. 1997, Ming-Ling has passed the examination of Tainan University of Technology, Department of Music, majors in piano, minor course is flute, and has been taught by Zhen-Zhen LIU, Nei-Wen WANG, Li-Li ZHOU and Li-Min CHEN. During the school, Ming-Ling has been asked to be the accompanist for Tainan city Phoenix City children's choir. 2003 she has passed the examination from Conservatoire de Reuil Malmaison-senior class of piano performer with the teacher CHANTAL RIOU. In year 2006, Ming-Ling has brought herself to the senior class of piano accompanist and learned with teacher PONDEPEYRE ANGELINE, who made her graduated as the first-rate in the next year from Conservatoire de Reuil Malmaison.

穆明伶四岁开始其音乐养成教育，启蒙於姑姑穆丽芬。1997年考上台南女子技术学院音乐系，主修钢琴副修长笛，师事於刘珍珍、王乃雯、周理俐以及陈丽明老师；在学期间曾应邀加入台南凤凰城儿童合唱团担任伴奏一职。2003年考取法国玛尔梅松市立音乐院(Conservatoire de Reuil Malmaison)钢琴演奏高级班，师事 Chantal RIOU.2006 年进入同音乐院钢琴伴奏高级班，师事於Angrline PONDEPEYRE 。2007年以第一奖文凭毕业於法国玛尔梅松市立音乐院，师事Angeline PONDEPEYRE 。
