There are three evidence:(1) The SDS-PAGE patterns were identical under reducing and nonreducing conditions.(2) Colorimetric quantitation using Ellman's Reagent showed the existence of around one free Cystein residue per monomeric rhM-CSF.(3) The alkylated rhM-CSF monomer was biologically active although its activity was slightly lower than that of native rhM-CSF.
