Methods The inhibitory effects of Taurine (50 mmol·L-1) on glycolaldehyde (0.1 mmol·L-1) induced DNA damage in spleen lymphocytes of mice were studied in vitro using single cell gel electrophoresis,and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine measurement was used to detect quantitatively the effects of Taurine on carbonyl compound contents in a reactive system.

The PCR based assay was tested on 19 strains isolated in throats from patients with guttate psoriasis.
