门徒

Jesus now explained to His disciples that His own life of self-abnegation was an example of what theirs should be.

于是耶稣对他的门徒解释︰他舍己为人的生活，是他们应遵循的生活榜样。

As you read the chapter, you can see the tremendously high view that Jesus had of His disciples. You also get a remarkable insight into His own self-limitation.

It was after Peter had been led to self-renunciation and dependence upon divine power that he received the call to his work for Christ.
