The composite powders consisted of Si, Ni, Ag and a series of Si-Ni alloys. The SEM and TEM results showed that the composite powder consisted of clusters with space and network structures. The composite electrode exhibited higher reversible capacity and the initial columbic efficiency was up to 87 %, which was much higher than that of the pure Si electrode.
