A novel ligand, N, N'-bis (2-hydroxy-1-naphthylidene)-3-oxa-1, 5-diaminopentane , and its Zn , Ni , Co , Cu complex were synthesized. The compositions and structures of the ligand and its complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, MS , IR spectra, DTA-TG and molar conductivity.

After being oxidated for 34 h, and then the contents of Fe2+ in the 9K liquid solution with 4×10-4mol/ L xanthates, dithiophosphates and D-250 added inreased from 4.03 g/L to 4.64, 4.77 and 5.91g/L, respectively. After leaching for 35 d, the leaching rates of Zn are 92% and 61% respectively. It shows that the flotation reagents (xanthates, D-250) have great effect on the activity of bioleaching bacteria.
