A novel type of photoalignment material based on the esterification reaction of 3,5-dihydroxyl benzyl alcohol and cinnamoyl chloride was firstly reported in this paper. The distinct property of this material is the nonlinear branch conformation and its polarity end with hydroxyl group.

The production of by-products caused the productivity of levulinic acid lower than theoretical one. Based on the study of the degradation of glucose and the formation of 5-hydromethylfurfural and levulinic acid, a kinetic model was proposed, in which, the process was described by a series first-order reactions with parallel by-reaction.

The chaperone activity of porcine kidney peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase was studied. The results showed that inactive or active PPIase was able to improve the refolding yields of creatine kinase , and inhibited aggregation. However, alkylated PPIase was not able to prevent CK aggregation.

The micronucleus frequency in mice bone marrow polychromatic erythrocytes and in eripheral erythrocytes of Zebrafish were assayed in this study. The sperm malformation rate in mice was also investigated.
