If, within the said time, such permission is noy granted, the Contractor may, but is not bound to, elect to treat the suspension where it affects part only of the Works, as an omission of such part under Clause 51 by giving a further notice to the Engineer to that effect, or where it affects the whole of the Works, treat the suspension as an event of default by the Employer and terminate his employment under the Contract in accordance with the Provisions of Sub-Clause 69.1, whereupon the provisions of Sub-Clause 69.2 and 69.3 shall apply.
