With the elastic theory, the formula for calculating the maximum and minimum drilling fluid density that would cause the initial shear fracture in vertical and inclined borehole is derived and the influence of formation non-linear deformation property is taken into account. The solution of the formula is given by iteration method.

Then the multiplier for both fixed-point and floating-point operation is designed. Finally the iteration algorithm for floating-point division is presented.
