Constitutive model: Based on the energy principle of fracture mechanics, energy addition theorem and statistical theory of rock-mass structure, a constitutive model of anisotropic equivalent continuum is derived.

According to the hypothesis of continuum, a tube with the corner strengthened is gained to make an equal of the frame-tube. B3-spline functions and parabola functions are applied to simulate the displacement functions of the frame-tube. The system of equations about the undetermined coefficients of displacement functions is deduced by using energy-variational principle, by solving which the displacement of the frame-tube is gained. Then the internal forces in the columns and beams of the former frame-tube are obtained according to the principles of elasticity mechanics.

On the basis of the idea of partition of unity, a discontinuous function and the two-dimensional asymptotic crack-tip displacement fields are added to the displacement interpolation formula to account for discontinuity of the contact surface and stress singularity near the contact surface tip respectively. Governing equations are deduced by virtual work principle and the integral of the discontinuous functions are calculated by Gauss integral through sub-elements cut by discontinuous surface.

In this thesis, the crystal structure and phase transition behaviors of a andβforsterite (Mg2SiO4) at high temperature and high pressure were investigated by the first principle calculations and the quasi-harmonic Debye model. Variations of elastic properties, band structure, density of state, band gap ofαandβforsterite with pressure were calculated, and the effect ofα/βphase transition on these characters was analyzed. The effects of water on elastic modulus, sound velocity and band gap of forsterite were also simulated. Finally, the effect ofα/βphase transition and water on seismic discontinuity in earth was discussed.
