Traveling along a twisty mountain road, the group turns off along a smaller, higher one. They are on their way to El Hongo, near the city of Mexicali, in Mexico's Baja. Locals in this poor area are mainly seniors and the very young; the others have left to find work, to send money back home for their families. Few here can afford medical help, and so this free Tzu Chi clinic is well-attended by many.
