对双侧强直患者，行单侧置换后，该髋关节良好，但受对侧或其他关节的影响，患者仍不能行走，Harris评分仍很低，在70分以下，但这并不能说明术侧髋关节功能不好，因此，对经济状况不良或身体状况差者，不能同时行双侧手术，单侧髋关节置换后功能评分将受影响，双侧髋关节强直的患者只行单侧手术后的评分不适合用Harris评分，而用Charnley评分较为合适。
