On the basis of the speakerly texts in "Their Eyes Were Watching God", the representative work by American Black woman writer Zora Neale Hurston, this paper discusses its unique charm and the Negro character reflected in them, approaching the free-style indirect speech, Negro preaching, special spelling and grammatical formation of Negro English and its application in the novel.
