Lesson1 Finding fossil man发现化石人 We can read of things that happened 5,000 years ago in the Near East,where people first learned to write.But there are some parts of the world where even now people cannot write.The only way that they can preserve their history is to recount it as sagas-legends handed down from one generation of storytellers to another.

通过在近东的那些第一个学会书写的人们的记录，我们可以知道五千年前发生在近东的事，但是，到现在为止世界上仍然有一些地区的人们不会书写，他们能够保存他们的历史的唯一方法就是把它当作英雄故事或传奇来一代一代的通过讲故事的人们流传下来。
