In order to solve the hose fitting leakage problems of the hose assemblies, the experimentation has been carried out and the conclusion is that the fitting"s intension is not strong enough to prevent leakage. Plasticity theory is utilized to analyze the relationship of the working pressure of the hose, the connector material and the geometric dimensions. The calculation about crimp power of the hose assemblies is found, and the suggestions for assembly are given according to plasticity principle, also the program for analysis of fittings intension is developed with AutoLisp which runs in AutoCAD.
