The Dawning/2000 Supercomputer is a general purpose parallel computer with the scalable cluster architecture, which supports technical computing, network service and data processing applications.In this paper, the design goals of the system software of Dawning/2000 are introduced.

引 言今天，可扩展的并行计算机系统正广泛地应用于需要更高性能的应用领域，如传统的科学与工程计算应用、决策支持和事务处理等商业计算应用、大型信息服务和网络服务、数字图书馆和视频多媒体系统。
