Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of retinal tears and retinal detachment with vitreous hemorrhage.

Methods Immediately after branch retinal vein occlusion model was made by argon laser in 40 eyes of 20 normal rabbits, the rabbits were divided into two groups. In the first group,there were 10 rabbits treated with the argon laser followed by the Nd∶YAG laser induced chorioretinal venous anastomosis.
