Strong association between surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate and P (AM/NaAA/C8AM) occurs through the formation of mixed micelles. The CMC of SDS is 8×10^(-3)mol/L. Moreover, because of the presence of-COOH group, the terpolymers have pH-responsive characterization. The hydrophobical association changes greatly with increasing pH.
