In my fresher year, my Chinese Language was taught by two gentlemen--Yu Pingbo and Yu Guanying, both of whom gave strict yet pleasant teaching, one of reading, the other composition. It is under his instruction that I was able to read plenty of English translations of ancient Greek philosophers' works, which gave me a great kick like I had just discovered a new planet.
