The thallus grew quickly, average daily growth rate reached (11.95±2.33) cm after blade length was over 60 cm.(3) The conchocelis filaments of breen mutant were thin and short. Thallus grew slowly and had low contents of three phycobiliprotenin and chlorophyl.

In another respect, the brain of the female adult had not significant effect on the activiting CA. The oocytes could depositing vitellin in individuals removed brain tissue on the day of eclosion, which showed that the activting of CA was not concerned with brain.
