The PAHs in sediment core were mainly composed of phenanthrene and fluorene. The concentrations of phenanthrene and fluorene in sediment core were 236.1-417.9 ng/g and 91-130.8 ng/g,respectively. Both of them accounted for 47.2%-58.1% of the ∑PAH16 in sediments.

In addition, ioding was found to be an efficient catalyst for the imino Diels-Alder reaction of N-arylimine and enol ethers and the reaction provided tertrahydroqinolines in good yields. One pot synthesis of tetrahydroqinolines from aldehyde, aniline and enol ethers was also achieved using iodine as the catalyst. The chemical yield of the"one pot"reaction was comparable with that obtained using preformed N-arylimine.

The results show that calix[6] arene-bismetalloporphyrins possess much higher catalytic activity than the corresponding metalloporphyrin while displaying the sam eselectivity by giving rise to acetophenone as the ketonic component in excellent yield.

By means of molecular designing, a series of sodium branched-alkyl benzene sulfonates weresynthesized through seven process, involving Frieded-Crafts reaction, Grignard reaction, sulfonationand neutralization. Those isomers have similar structure, carbons of same quantity, but the position ofalkylaryl dissimilarity. Liner fat acid, metaxylene and halogenated hydrocarbon of different carbonnumber were used as the starting materials. Optimum processing condition was confirmed consideringinfluence of a series of reaction factors such as feed proportioning, quantity of catalysts, quantitysolvent, reaction time, temperature and pressure. Eight kinds of isomers of sodium hexadecylxylolsulfonates were finally synthesized, and characterized by FT-IR.

The test results showed that this synthetic kerosene fraction was mainly composed of paraffinic hydrocarbons and monocyclic naphthenic hydrocarbons, besides, only a minor amount of single-ring aromatic hydrocarbons was found, two-ring or three-ring aromatic hydrocarbons were non-detectable.

The present doctoral dissertation was carried out to study the chemical constituents isolated from stems of two medicinal schisandraceous plants.34 compounds were isolated from the ethanol extracts of the stems S.henryi collected in the Jiangxi province by various column chromatographies.27 of them were identified on the basis of spectral analysis.There are 18 lignans,(including 5 dibenzocyclooctadienes,6 aryltetralins,2 tetrahydrofurans,3 diarylbutanes,2 other lignans),3 flavanols,2 glyceroesters,1 naphthoquinone,1 xanthine and 2 steroids,of which 6 compounds were new compounds,and 7 compounds were isolated from this family for the first time.
