The association between mineral composition in the pollen of nectariferous plants and the geological background of soil in three mine regions and three orchards was assayed systematically. The results showed that the geological condition of the soil could affect the mineral contents of pollen.

Cell membrane nonpermeable inhibitor of calmodulin, W7_agarose, and the anti_serum of calmodulin could decrease the cytosolic calcium level. The results show that the endogenous extracellular calmodulin may play an important role in maintaining and increasing the cytosolic calcium level in pollen grain cell.
