Ikenoshita was organized by Kazufumi Nagano et al in January 1996, aspiring after a new vision of synergy of theater and terpsichorean art. We, Ikenoshita, started a series of performances of Shuji Terayama's early works in August 1996 and have worked to reveal unknown phases of Terayama's works.

池之下剧团于1996年由长野和文先生组织成立，剧团从戏剧和舞蹈两种艺术形式相结合的化学作用中获得灵感，并以此开始一系列的创作。1996年8月，池之下剧团开始运作一系列寺山修司的早期作品，并将其一些并不为人熟悉的作品通过舞台带给大众。1999年3月，剧团将范围扩展到所有寺山修司的作品，旨在将最真实的寺山修司呈现给观众。

The performance of "Awakening Jazz" is to blend the traditional dance step of jazz and new dance steps of later time, which were popular then that not only absorbs the skill of ballet and modern dance, but also blends such styles as hip-hop, line dance and MTV popular dancing, plus such elements as theatric image,,music, light and stage design to form a dramatic jazz dance exhibition.

内容 此次爵醒的演出是把传统的爵士舞步和以后各时代风靡一时的新舞步掺杂一起，吸收了芭蕾舞、现代舞的技巧，也融入了街舞、排舞、MTV流行舞蹈等风格，再加上剧场式的影像、音乐、灯光、舞台设计等元素而形成的一种戏剧式的爵士舞展。
