Methods: 17 healthy volunteers underwent axial conventional DWI and DWI with fluid attenuated inversion recovery by use of the single shot echo planar diffusion weighted MR sequence in three orthogonal directions on 3.0T MR imager.

17名健康志愿者在3.0T MRI上行常规轴位DWI和FLAIR-DWI扫描，分别测量两侧半卵圆区、扣带回、丘脑及胼胝体膝部和压部的ADC值及DWI信号强度，同时测量基底节层面的DWI信号强度作为噪声，计算以上5个部位DWI图像的信噪比。

RESULTS: Fractal signature of the medial tibial plateau at baseline was predictive of medial knee JSN progression (area under the curve 0.75, of a receiver operating characteristic curve) but was not predictive of osteophyte formation or progression of JSN in the lateral compartment.
