本发明方法以西瓜、打瓜或者其茎叶为原料，其过程为：首先将原料清洗干净，破碎后将西瓜皮西瓜瓤分开，分别进行榨汁；所得汁液合并，经过微滤和超滤除去不容物和大分子物质；然后再经反渗透和纳滤过滤；透过液调节pH值后通入大孔型强酸性阳离子交换树脂柱；然后以氨水做洗脱剂进行等度洗脱；将洗脱液减压蒸馏脱氨，脱色，浓缩结晶，得到西瓜提取天然L-瓜氨酸白色结晶产品。

以去除盐湖卤水中COD和浊度为目的，选用煤质活性炭、果壳活性炭、木质活性炭3种不同活性炭进行净化除杂的工艺研究，结果表明：果壳活性炭对COD和浊度的去除率最低，加入量最大，不宜选用；木质活性炭在低温下(≤20℃)脱除COD效果较好，在常温下(28~45℃)去除COD和浊度的效率明显低于煤质活性炭；在震荡速度、吸附时间及吸附剂加入量均相同的情况下，煤质活性炭脱色除杂效果明显优于其余两种活性炭，在盐湖卤水的脱色净化工程中应优先选用。

其试验结果，运用甲壳神海洋生物污水处理(通过物化方法去除水中一些物质的过程)剂和大水体修复技术后，建立好氧生物稳定床，处理污水效果明显，表现为：黑臭的污水迅速脱色、脱臭，变得澄清、无味，处理两天后COD由333下降到76，达到观赏水和养殖水的水质要求，可培养水生物。4天后长出绿藻、红鱼食等初级生物，养殖水葫芦等水生物并可放养观赏鱼。

研究结果表明：复合亚铁制备工艺简便，无二次污染；处理水样时产生的矾花大，密实、沉降速度快；复合亚铁带电性为正，为阳离子型絮凝剂；复合亚铁具有较好的除浊、脱色能力，除浊率及脱色率最高分别可达95.4％及81.7％；在复合亚铁中，聚硅酸与亚铁的水解产物间存在着相互作用，合适的硅铁摩尔比有利于提高混凝效果，而且还可以降低投药成本；复合亚铁是通过氧化还原、吸附电中和及卷扫三种作用机理起混凝作用的。
