In order to reduce the corrosion of acidic paint stripper to aeronautical metals and provide with better anti-corrosion additive for AIL4130, TC4, LY12, and 20(superscript #) steel, a series of inhibitors and their composite were investigated. Weight loss experiment, Tafel curves measurement and SEM observation were carried out for the above metals in the formic acid solution which was normally used in the paint stripper.
