Objective: To compare the effects of anti-inflammatory and analgesia when the total alkaloid of monkshood processed by a new method is thirteen times higher than that of its small pieces.

The results showed that mice in the photoallergy group pretreated with sulfanilamide and UV irradiation developed evident ear swelling at 24h after challenge and the histopathology was characteristic of DTH, while control mice showed no reaction, indicating that sulfanilamide is a kind of chemical with photoallergenicity.
