The life and activities of the village or "ujamaa" are captured in wood and the tree depicts men and women doing different jobs – farmers toiling over land; women carrying water in pitchers; men hunting or carrying maize, luggage or fruits; women cooking or carrying children on their backs; men and women helping each other reflecting harmony for the smooth functioning of society.
