While the world pours its heart out to the victims of the quake, we are left puzzled by the undertone of this cartoon: does it, and by association the Plain Dealer, imply that the people of China is one big rat deserving to have it back broken by the quake?

As a group of Chinese immigrants living in greater Cleveland area, we are deeply disappointed in the Plain Dealer for its publication of the May 14th Editorial Cartoon depicting China as an ugly giant rat with its tail broken by an earthquake.
