Chemically, fluoroquinlones are an amphoterics molecule processing major ionizable groups, a basic piperazine amine and acidic carboxyl. The form of drugs was greatly affected by the acidity in aqueous solution. Thus the effect of pH values in aqueous solution on the fluorescent properties of fluoroquinolones was studied in details, the spectral properties of each form was characterized.
