In this research, leaves of maize grown on soil pots and vermiculite pots were treated with jasmonate methyl ester, salicylic methyl ester and third instar larvae of the maize stalk borer and were assessed for the effect on the contents of DIMBOA and phenolic acid, and the expression of defense genes in leaves and roots, the content and species of root exudates and the diversity of rhizosphere bacteria community.
