Xinyi was born in Beijing, China, 1961. During 1982 to 1983 he studied industrial design and interior design in The China Academy of Art and Design. From 1983 to 1992, Xinyi was engaged in movie, he was the designer of Electrical Education Moviemaker Factory and Beijing Movie Arts Academy then.

本名朱欣翼，1961年出生于中国北京，1982—1983就读于中央工艺美院，主修工业造形·室内设计。83年—92年曾从事电影美术工作（电化教育制片厂卡通美术设计，北京电影学院青年电影制片厂美术师）。

Zang Ningbei, Independent Producer and Director, was studying Fine Art at Nanjing Normal University, History of Art at Central Art and Design Academy and Drama and Theatre Arts at Queen Margaret University College; published the poems, prose and theater reviews.
