Referring to HMIS public data coding criterion, parts coding management module was designed and established, and parts coding automatic generation function was realized. Then, by using reliability theory and mathematical statistics method, data statistic analysis and malfunction analysis modules were established, and components failure data statistics, choosing of life distribution law, and predicting of maintenance period were realized.

The train positioning technology based on absolute position encoding is proposed. The absolute positions of the rail track are encoded with the m sequence. The biconditional markers placed on the rail track are detected sequentially by the train-borne reader. The exclusive position code consists of the binary information in the shift register. The absolute train positioning information can be extracted by decoding this position code.

This paper presents a new method for color image compression coding by using chromatism analysis and wavelet transform. In the method ,one of the three color components of a color image for example the G (component of a RGB color image is coded using wavelet transform ,and the chromatism between G and other two color componets RG, BG is coded respectively using chromatism analysis.

The video coding method includes the steps of dividing input frames into one final low-pass frame and at least one high-pass frame through a motion compensated temporal filtering, coding the final low-pass frame and then decoding the coded final low-pass frame, re-estimating the high-pass frame by using the decoded final low-pass frame, and coding the re-estimation high-pass frame.

In chapter 2, we proposed a fractal image coding method based on genetic algorithms. The searching scheme problem of domain block in fractal image coding is well solved by applying a robust genetic algorithm with well-selected populations and revised genetic operators. Experimental result has show that it can increase fractal image coding speed by this method.
