As the temperature increases, content of quartz, anhydrite, and hematite in coal ash decrease in reducing conditions and some new mineral phases are formed during heating process. The content of mullite formed in the heating process is the mayor reason of high melting temperature of the ash. Anorthite at high temperature lowers the ash fusion temperature.

随着温度的升高，煤灰中石英、硬石膏、赤铁矿等结晶矿物含量逐渐减少，生成新的矿物质，莫来石的生成是导致淮南煤灰熔点高的主要原因，钙长石起到降低灰熔点的作用。

The results show that the perfect strength can be obtained under oxygen partial pressure about 20% O2, overhigh or low oxygen partial pressure is unfavorable for recrystallization of Fe2O3, which causes a decrease of pellet strength. The original hematite will be transformed into magnetite on reduction firstly when carbon-burdened hematite pellet is roasted in oxidizing atmosphere, and then the magnetite will be oxidized to secondary hematite, which is more active than original hematite, therefore, the induration strength of pellet is able to be enhanced.

研究结果表明：内配碳赤铁矿氧化球团在接近空气配比(氧含量约20%，体积分数)的氧化性气氛中焙烧强度最大，氧含量过高或过低都会影响Fe2O3的再结晶，使球团强度降低；在氧化性气氛中焙烧含碳赤铁矿球团时，原生赤铁矿先还原为磁铁矿，磁铁矿再氧化成活性较高的次生赤铁矿，提高了赤铁矿焙烧固结性能和球团强度。

Under optical microscope,the observational result indicates that the peach blossom stone samples from Gao Mountain contains transparent and distransparent minerals which forms pealike and red spots.

光学显微镜的观察结果表明，高山桃花石样品中存在透明和不透明矿物，其中不透明矿物形成了艳丽的红色斑点；XRD测试表明，样品的矿物组成为地开石、赤铁矿、石英以及少量的叶腊石；拉曼光谱测试结果表明，样品的基质部分为地开石，结晶形态完好的红色矿物颗粒与呈浸染状的红色部分均为赤铁矿，无色透明的矿物颗粒为石英。

The XRD testing result indicates that the mineral compositions in the samples are dickite, hematite, quartz and a little pyrophyllite. LRM testing result shows that the basic part of the samples is dickite, the red minerals with both well crystal shape and dip dye shape are hematite, and colourless and transparent mineral grains are quartz.

It is shown that the main minerals in the slag are quartz, gypsum, mullite and hematite; an obvious characteristic apex of gypsum appears in the DSC curve when dehydrating but the apex is low total amount of SiO2, SO3, Al2O3, CaO and Fe2O3 is above 80%; there are several kinds of sulphates, not only calcium sulphate but also other sulphates with high solubility.
