In order to overcome the problem of multidrug resistance in human epidemic carcinomata anti-adriamycin cells (KB-A-1), the antisense and antigene oligonucleotides were used to investigate their effectiveness on inhibiting the mdr1 gene expression. The effectiveness of antisense or antigene oligonucleotide on inhibiting the multidrug resistance was detected by MTT colometric assay and ELISA.

After varied survival periods, the model mice were sacrificed to get the specimens of SN fixed, embedded and coronally sectioned continuously. The microsections were processed by immunohistochemistry to label the DA neurons and Calbindin D28k-containing neurons with the antibodies against tyrosine hydroxylase and CR respectively. In order to isolate the active compounds in ethyl acetate fraction of Psoralea corylifolia L., activity-guided isolation was performed along with chromatographic techniques. Four active compounds were isolated from ethyl acetate fraction and identified by their NMR spectral data and physical-chemical properties.
