The model extends conventional single porosity interpretation methodology to identify various lithologies (such as coal seam, radioactive sandstone, carbonate rock besides sandstone and shale) by comprehensively analyzing the logging responses of sand reservoirs on economic logging set of acoustic logs and induction logs. Applications on real data show the improved model is superior in identifying complex lithology with conventional logging data.
