Based on the ellipsoidal coordinates, we obtain the spacial distribution of electric potentials of a composite of a coated ellipsoid embedded in an infinite host via solving the Laplace equations and matching the boundary conditions. Meanwhile, we also obtain the partially resonant condition of the coated ellipsoid.
