The results show that there are optimal damping coefficient leading to the minimum response of the primary core-tube, and that the dynamic response is not sensitive to the lesser damper stiffness, and that the optimal value affected by inter-story drift ratio of the suspended floors as constraint condition and setting reasonable structural parameters could meet the optimization objectives and the inter-story drift ratio limit of the suspended floors.
