Objective: To retrospectively study the X- ray and CT appearance of ossifying fibroma of the long bone and to explore the diag nostic value of X-ray and CT.

Methods We reported a case of PXA located in the cerebellum of a young adult in view of its extremely unusual location. Morphologic observation, immunohistochemical staining using DAKO EnVision system , histochemical stains including hematoxylin eosin and Gordon Sweet's reticulin methods were used.

采用免疫组织化学DAKOEnVison法、组织化学网质纤维染色和HE染色及形态学观察的方法，报道 1例极罕见于年轻人小脑的多形性黄色星形细胞瘤，探讨其临床病理特点。

Results In 16 cases, long bone ossifying fibroma was diagnosed by X-ray in 11 cases, misdiagnosed in 5 cases. In 8 cases, long bone ossifying fibroma was diagnosed by CT 7 cases, misdiagnosed in 1 cases.

结果 16例长骨骨化性纤维瘤X线诊断正确11例，误诊5例；CT检查正确诊断7例，误诊1例。

CT can improve the correct diagnosis of long bone ossifying fibroma and can more clearly demonstrate the extension of lesions than Xray plain film,which is important for clinical treatment.

CT检查能够提高长骨骨化性纤维瘤的正确诊断率，显示病变范围较传统X线清晰，对于指导临床治疗有重要意义。
