The new one has the following advantages:(1) inheriting and enlarging attribute data management function of original SOTER, and enhancing the integrith and safety of SOTER;(2) integrating the attribute database, spatial database and model base into a unique system, and using the windows graphic user interface, as interactive tools which make establishment and maintenance of SOTER database convenient;(3) promoting the quantitativity, model standardization and automation of soil information, and serring as a good example for building new soil databases and information system.

新系统继承和扩充了原有系统的属性数据管理功能，增强了SOTER数据库的完整性与安全性；将属性数据管理、空间数据管理和模型库集成在一个系统中，采用Windows的图形用户界面与用户交互，使SOTER数据库的建立与维扩更加方便；同时促进了土壤信息应用的定量化、模式化和自动化，也为进一步建立土壤信息系统打下了良好基础。

This paper is about the designing and realization of a library information system. The system is mainly based on struts, spring, and JDOM and schema technology. Using five layers software framework, the library system implements all the requirement of a library, including news putout, books information, reader information, borrowing books information, return books information and so on. This paper presents the designing of library system, and introduces the technology we use and the advantage of the framework.
