糖尿病是一种危害人类健康的常见病和多发病，居世界致残率、致死率第三位，其中90%左右为非胰岛素依赖型糖尿病，其发病不仅与环境因素有关，而且与遗传有着密切联系。

For those out-patients of Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital and normal non-vegetarian, vegetarian and college students, we investigate the effect of type II diabetes, non-vegetarian, vegetarian, age and gender on the NMR values of urinary metabolites including lactate, alanine, acetate, glycine, acetone, citrate, TMAO, DMA and hippurate.

本研究针对高雄医学大学附设医院门诊第二型糖尿病患及正常荤食、素食者、大学生利用1H-NMR核磁共振，探讨荤食、素食、年纪、性别及第二型糖尿病患者，其对尿中代谢物包括alanine、lactate、glycine、citrate、acetone、acetate、dimetylamine (DMA、trimethlamine –N-oxide、hippuric acid值之影响。

从老年糖尿病隐匿性强、并发症多、病情易反复的特点出发，分析部分老年糖尿病患者血糖控制不佳的原因，提出加强健康教育、重视与患者的沟通、早期应用胰岛素、规范治疗的对策。

Diabetes was induced by streptozotocin (55 mg/kg body wt by intraperitoned injection) which was dissolved in citric acid-phosphate buffer PH4. 4 and verified 24 hours later by the presence of hyperglycemia and hyperglycosuria.
