A new desulfurization apprach for pulverized coal combustion is introduced in this paper; pulverized coal is first burn in a precombustion furnace under oxygen deficient condition (about 30% air needed in boiler is provided for precombustion), in precombustion moust of sulfur in coal is decomposed and oxidized, and evolved, the sulfur evolved is trapped in a desulfurizing fluidized bed by calsuim, and then the char and gas are introduced to the boiler furnace for complete combustion.
