Determination of functional components in foods and Chinese herbs as well as evaluation of biological activity – Both foods and Chinese herbs investigated include soybean, Ziziphus jujuba , Lycium barbarum , Gynostemma pentaphyllum , Taraxacum formosanum , Rhinacanthus nasutus , Scutellaria barbata , etc. Functional components investigated include carotenoid, chlorophyll, flavonoid, phenolic acid, polysaccharide, saponin, isoflavone, etc. In my lab we have developed many LC-MS methods for determination of these components and proved their antiproliferation effect on cancer cells and anti-inflammatory activity.

食品及中草药有效成分测定及其对生物活性的影响-探讨的食品包括大豆、蕃茄、芒果等等，中草药包括红枣、枸杞、七叶胆、蒲公英、仙鹤灵芝草、半枝莲等等，有效成分则包括类胡萝卜素、叶绿素、类黄酮、酚酸、多醣、皂苷、异黄酮等等，本实验室已成功开发多种LC-MS方法测定这些成分并证实这些成分具有抑制癌细胞增生及抗发炎的功效，已有多篇论文发表於国际著名期刊。

The author has paid attention to the two kinds of lavas which locate the south-east end of the Kalamaili belt. Through the field investigate and the geochemistry experiment the author has contrasted the two kinds of lavas in the ophiolitic melange, made clear the tectonic background and summarized the geochemical characteristic and then discussed the formed environment and tectonic significance.

作者以该蛇绿混杂岩中的两类中基性火山熔岩为研究对象，通过野外实际观察和室内地球化学实验分析，将这两类火山熔岩进行对比研究，弄清其大地构造背景，总结其地球化学特征，并由此探讨该蛇绿混杂岩的形成环境及其构造学意义。

Anthocyanins are plant unique phenolic compounds derived from flavonoid biosynthetic pathway. The red cyanidins, orange pelargonidin, and purple-blue delphinidin are three major anthocyanins, which are reported to have anti-oxidative activity on lipid and scavenge activity on removing free radical.

花青素是植物所特有的多酚类化合物，也是类黄酮代谢路径所衍生的化合物，植物主要的花青素有紫红色的矢车菊素、橘红色的天竺葵素及蓝紫色的飞燕草素等三种，均为抗氧化物，可抑制脂质过氧化，并具有清除自由基的能力。

56 cases of bullous pemphigoid were studied on the clinical characters and immunol-blot patterns.It was found that bullous pemphigoid happened mostly among old people in bullous type;Autoantigen BP230,BP230/180 and BP 230/180 combined with minor antigens involved in acute phase of BP patient;While BP180 involved mainly in the remission of the disease.

对56例江浙沪地区类天疱疮患者的临床特征和不同靶抗原的关系进行了探讨，发现类天疱疮多发于老年人，并以大疱性多见；在BP的急性期抗体结合230kD、230/180kD、合并条带靶抗原较常出现(86.11%)；而在疾病的缓解期抗体结合180kD抗原较常出现(65%)；180kD靶抗原并非次要抗原。

In addition, a pre-column derivatization HPLC method was applied to the determination of Astragaloside Ⅳ; the flavonoids was determined by full-range HPLC scanning; a colorimetric method was developed for the determination of flavonoids and saponins. Hierarchical cluster analysis was performed on three constituents of different Radix Astragali species, and its result was compared with those of traditional phytoecological identification and the pharmacological quality assessment.

本研究以比色法测定了黄芪中总皂苷的含量，以柱前衍生化高效液相色谱法测定了黄芪中黄芪甲苷的含量；以比色法测定了黄芪中总黄酮成分的含量，以反相高效液相色谱法测定了黄芪中毛蕊异黄酮和毛蕊异黄酮苷的含量；以黄芪中的黄芪甲苷、毛蕊异黄酮和毛蕊异黄酮苷为主要特征对不同品种的黄芪进行了系统聚类分析，并将聚类结果与传统生药学鉴定和药理质量评价结果进行了比较。

We suppose that there is a presently undefined subfraction of stem cell population that exists in a number of tissues beyond embryonic development. We term them postembryonic pluripotent stem cells. They differ from embryonic stem cells in that they gradually lose some differentiation potentials during development and adopt some special phenotypes once within a certain tissue. They can give rise to different kinds of stem cells; therefore, help to maintain balance during development and metabolism. They provide cells not only for the damaged tissues they reside, but also for damaged tissues different from them by migration triggered by proinflammatory cytokines or growth factors.
